In this session, we first completed the pending reading practice (last slide) from the previous weekend. We read four-letter words containing basic strokes and jazm, which served as focused practice for recognizing and pronouncing jazm words correctly.
Working with slightly longer words helped reinforce the skill of identifying where the jazm appears and adjusting the sound accordingly while reading.
After completing this review, we began a new reading set. In this part of the session, we practised mixed word reading using two- and three-letter words that included basic harakah and jazm. This allowed participants to continue strengthening their recognition of the vowel marks while becoming more comfortable reading short words smoothly.
The combination of review and new material provided a helpful way to reinforce earlier learning while gradually building reading confidence.
The deck used in this session is as follows:
You are warmly invited to join our next session on Learning to Read the Quran. These meetups are for women only and focus on steady progress through short introductions and plenty of reading practice.
In the next session, we will continue with reading practice of three-letter words using basic harakah and jazm.
We look forward to learning together in the next meetup.
