Learn to Read the Quran – Lesson XVII

Today we dedicated our time to reading three-letter words, where each letter carried one of the strokes— Fathah, Kasrah, or Dammah. We also reviewed how Arabic sentences look, practiced reading short phrases with the same strokes, and got a little taste of meaning along the way.

For example, we explored how:

  • wa means “and”
  • ba means “with” when prefixed to a word
  • fa means “then” when prefixed to a word

Alongside this, we picked up a few more word meanings—just enough to start feeling the flow of what we’re reading.
