This week, we focused on basic harakat—the Fathah, Kasrah, and Dammah. We practiced recognizing these short vowel marks and went through the alphabet with the basic strokes, one stroke at a time, to really get a feel for how they change the sound of each letter.
To reinforce the learning, we practiced with a mixed bag of letters with different basic strokes, helping the idea stick in context.
