This Sunday’s Arabic reading meetup introduced an important new concept: the silent bend in Arabic letters. In our female-only session, participants explored how this feature appears within words and affects pronunciation, building on their existing foundation with silent letters.
Through guided practice using the reference deck, we read a range of words and phrases, including selections from Quranic ayah that combined both silent letters and silent bends:
This helped learners develop greater fluency while applying their knowledge in a meaningful context.
Alongside reading, we also explored common Arabic word meanings and their root letters, enabling participants to recognize patterns and identify related words more easily. We also translated a portion of an ayah describing the splitting of the Red Sea for Prophet Musa/Moses (AS) and the drowning of Fir‘awn (Pharoah), offering both linguistic insight and reflection.
We invite you to join us next Sunday as we continue building confidence and connection with the Arabic language.
